I’m endlessly curious.

I’ve learned that some of the best days don’t start with a plan. They start with, “Let’s stop and see what that is.”

Sometimes that’s a city I’ve never been to. Sometimes it’s a quirky coffee shop, a neighborhood restaurant, or a farmers market that turned out to be something completely different from what I expected. Either way, I’m probably going to wander a little longer than necessary because I noticed something interesting.

Whether I’m in Prague, New Mexico, Houston, or my own kitchen, I’m usually noticing something.

Sometimes it’s a restaurant that’s worth returning to because the food is solid and the atmosphere makes you want to stay awhile.

Sometimes it’s a tiny apartment purchase that quietly solves an everyday annoyance.

Sometimes it’s a park, a coffee shop, a farmers market, or a travel experience that turned out to be far better than I expected.

And occasionally it’s just an observation from an airport that probably didn’t need to make me laugh as much as it did.

I don’t need every trip to be epic or every meal to be unforgettable.

I like places with personality. Coffee that doesn’t taste burned. Food that’s thoughtful without being pretentious. Live music. Local businesses. Neighborhood bookstores. The kind of experiences that leave you saying, “I’d do that again.”

If you’re looking for luxury travel, Michelin-star restaurant reviews, or the “Top 87 Things You MUST Do” in every city, you probably won’t find that here.

What you will find are honest recommendations, practical ideas, and a little dry humor. I’ll tell you what surprised me, what I’d skip, and what I’d happily drive an hour for.
